Finish machining
HIGHEST PRECISION FOR THE HIGHEST REQUIREMENTS
Today’s exhaust gas standards make it absolutely vital that adjoining chamfers and radii of the actual valve seat are perfectly machined. Valve seats are machined during turning, NC-controlled over the Z-axis and a U1 axis with a stroke range of 10mm/radius. The U2 axis is used for reaming the valve guide on the basis of the cut.
NC-controlled valve seat and valve guide machining:
- Suitable for producing all kinds of chamfers (incl. convex/concave), radii and bends
- Produces both the intake and exhaust openings using just one special tool
- Balanced out in all positions
- Excellent concentricity between the valve seat and valve guide
- Valve seat angle < 20 min.
- Valve seat runout < 10 μm
- Valve seat roundness
NC-controlled fine cylinder bore machining:
- No eccentric spindle required, which means that the max. spindle bearing-Ø can be used
- Highly rigid thanks to well-braced, elastic system
- Size-controlled semi finish and reverse finish boring
